Craftsmanship
Combining attention to detail, traditional joinery and modern techniques my craftsmanship creates furniture that functions as well as it looks and stands the test of time.
Prior to starting Jonathan A. Nussbaum – Furniture Maker in 2009, I apprenticed under and worked for German Master Furniture Maker Kai Fuhrmann (2006-2009).
I started with hand tools, adding in the corresponding modern machinery when I demonstrated proficiency with a hand tool. Between Kai and his shop foreman, I learned there is almost always more than one way of doing something. Knowing how and when to best implement each method allows me to achieve things that might not be possible with any one method.
